Llyn Brenig Sailing Club was founded in 1976 and is located about 10 miles west of Denbigh in North Wales. Llyn Brenig is a freshwater reservoir, owned by Welsh Water and located on the top of the picturesque Denbigh moors. The Club enjoys spectacular scenery, and being over 1200 feet above sea level, gives excellent winds and very few days when sailing cannot take place. LBSC is a small friendly club with membership that caters for Families and Single Members, and has facilities for able bodied and disabled Sailors. Temporary Memberships are available and welcomed on a daily basis - ask the Officer of the Day for a permit. Facilities include: · hot showers in comfortable changing rooms including facilities for disabled members; · fully equipped galley; · training room; · training fleet of six Picos, two Optimists and two Wayfarers; · two safety boats · Challenger trimarans for disabled members; · Concrete ramp for launching; · Lifts to give access to the Clubhouse and boats on shore · Boat and car parks Just follow the A543 from Denbigh to Pentrefoelas, then the B4501 to the Llyn Brenig Visitor Centre - the reservoir is well signposted.
