Afon Wnion River, Rivers Dolgellau, Gwynedd - Wales where to go, what to see and where to stay in Wales

The Afon Wnion is a river in the south of Gwynedd, West Wales. It rises on the slopes of Aran Bennllyn between Bala and Dolgellau. The river passes close to Drws-y-Nant, Rhydymain, Pont Llanrhaiadr, Bont Newydd and Dolgellau before joining the Mawddach close to Llanelltyd. The Wnion is the largest tributary of the Afon Mawddach. The Wnion is a very fine sea trout river which, as with many Welsh rivers, leads to disputes between anglers and canoeists and others who wish to enjoy the rivers.
