Hay Bluff, 2,221 ft, (677m) is a mountain that straddles the Welsh / English border between the towns of Three Cocks (Powys) to the west and Peterchurch (Herefordshire) to the east. The town of Hay on Wye is to the north and Capel y fin and the Black Mountains are to the south. Lord Hereford’s Knob (690m), or Twmpa (Welsh) is the nearest mountain to the south west and Cefn Hill (486m), in Herefordshire to the north east. | There are fine views of the middle Wye Valley and the book town of Hay-on-Wye from the summit. The Offa’s Dyke Path crosses the hill as it follows the line of the English / Welsh border but although the hill is popular with walkers it is rarely overcrowded
