The wreck of the paddle steamer Rhosneigr can be found off Rhos Point, Rhos-on-Sea, North Wales. The ship went aground on July 20th 1908. Fortunately there were no fatalities as all passengers were offloaded safely. The wreck is visible at very low spring tides. At one time the remains of a second world war Mosquito warplane could be found close by but these have now disappeared. The anchor of the Rhosneigr can be found outside the small complex of shops including a cafe and fishing tackle shops at Rhos Point. The buildings once formed the entrance to the now demolished Rhos-on-Sea Pier. The remains of a medieval stone and timber fish trap can be found on the beach near the wreck.
