Rhuddlan Denbighshire Wales
Twthill is located near the town of Rhuddlan, in Denbighshire, North Wales. Twthill is a Norman motte built in about 1073 by Robert of Rhuddlan and his cousin Hugh 'the Fat', earl of Chester. The mound, for that is all that remains, stands to the south of the medieval Rhuddlan Castle on the banks of the Clwyd River.
