Aberdaron Beach, Beaches Aberdaron, Gwynedd - Wales where to go, what to see and where to stay in Wales

Aberdaron Beach is located at the far end of the Llyn Peninsula in Gwynedd North Wales. It can take some time to get there but believe me it's well worth the effort. The sandy beach is almost a mile long stretching from one picturesque headland to another, there is plenty to explore! The children will love the clear blue sea and golden sands and the water is excellent quality. And the ice cream kiosk is just a short walk from the beach. For the grown up children there is windsurfing, sailing and canoeing. Surfing is possible but only with certain tides as the headlands make this a nice sheltered beach. Our earthly needs are catered for by the pub and restaurant that backs onto the beach while our spiritual needs are satisfied by the old parish church of St Hywyn's that is also on the beach. Facilities include a small promenade, toilets, cafes and restaurants and a ramp allows small boats to be launched.
