Twyni Fach Beach is in Ynyslas near Aberdovey, Ceredigion and is located to the south of Aberdovey and to the north of Borth. With Borth Sands and Afon Leri running in parallel with the shore, the beach is situated at the mouth of the Dovey Estuary and has a large breadth of sand and dunes which form part of the Ynyslas Sand Dunes. The sand dunes form part of the Dyfi National Nature Reserve and border Cardigan Bay and the Dyfi Estuary. The beach and estuary is popular with bird watchers. There are boardwalk trails through the dunes where Marsh and Bee Orchids flower during the Summer. A variety of wildlife can be seen at Twyni beach including lizards, stoats, skylarks and a variety of butterflies. Twyni beach is a popular destination during the summer months and kite-surfing is a popular activity in the surrounding waters. The BBC kite-flying advert was also filmed at the dunes of Ynyslas.
