Llanina beach is in New Quay, Ceredigion. The beach is in Cardigan Bay and looks out onto the Irish Sea. New Quay is one of the best places in Britain to see dolphins and they can regularly be seen from the shore or from regular boat trips from New Quay harbour. Llanina is a sandy beach with the western end being sheltered and backed by a campsite and the village itself. Facilities at the beach include toilets, disabled toilets and a campsite. The Llanina ruins lie nearby in a wood called Coed Llanina and they are a destination of interest and speculation to locals and tourists. Followers of the movies might be interested to note that Llanina beach featured as a location in the film The Edge of Love. The 2008 John Maybury film starred Keira Knightley, Sienna Miller, Cillian Murphy and Matthew Rhys and the story concerns the famous Welsh poet Dylan Thomas his wife Caitlin Macnamara.
