North Shore is a traditional beach complete with
donkey rides, in Llandudno, North Wales. Mostly rocky, there are some
sandy areas and the west side is dominated by the 1,400ft (424m)
Victorian pier. The beach has excellent quality water (2009) which
attracts many people for windsurfing and sailing. Why not enjoy a walk
on the promenade, which stretches from the foot of the Great Orme to the
Little Orme, whilst taking in the beautiful views? Alternatively
visitors can take a pleasure boat trip from next to the pier. Children
can use the paddling pool on the promenade, where there is also a small
cafe serving ice cream and soft drinks. Toilets are located near the
beach and many cafes and restaurants can be found in the town centre.
For those with disabilities, there is easy access to North Shore beach
via a slipway. Parking is available but charges apply in most car parks.
Please note that dogs are restricted but there is a dog exercise area.
