There are National Trust properties at Castle Drogo and Arlington Court, and from the cottage both the North Cornwall and North Devon coastlines are easily accessible. Here you will find some of the finest beaches in the country as well as secluded bays and plunging cliffs. There is also the spectacular, although challenging, South West Coast Path. Other highlights include Clovelly, Appledore, Instow and the regional town of Barnstaple. There is cycling along the Tarka Trail and numerous golf courses in the area. For those with children, Dingles Heritage Fairground, the Big Sheep and Milky Way are all worth a day out. Shop and traditional country pub serving food, 100 yards, restaurant 6 miles..
