Lovely roomy cottage and extremely well equipped and clean. Set in quite a remote location nearest shop 2.5 miles but this is rewarded with great views and tranquillity. Great walking from the door step.

Lovely place to stay. Ideal to return to after long walks or visiting historical sites. Jessica the caretaker very friendly and helpful.

Wonderful location but a bit scary narrow lanes to reach the beautiful barn and the views. Lots of excellent equipment and loads of excellent brochures about the local area. Enjoyed a walk from the barn and also seeing the peasants and hearing the owls. Very helpful lady to answer any queries.

Jessica met us at the cottage upon arrival, showed us around and answered all of our questions about the cottage. This was greatly appreciated. Only (small) complaint is that the cottage was along a one-track road that occasionally had traffic on the road and made passing a bit tricky. The accommodations and serenity of the location though were wonderful.

A beautifully converted stone barn with everything you need in a quiet and secluded spot close to a lovely village and in a lovely area.

We spent a most enjoyable time at Rookery Barn. The property was absolutely lovely, very spacious and comfortable and the kitchen was very well equipped. The Barn was way out in the country so very peaceful and quiet with quite a lot of wildlife but unfortunately didn't see the deer which the previous occupants had seen the week before. The access was down a long narrow lane which didn't faze my partner but glad that I wasn't driving, although we only met one tractor during our fortnight stay. The nearest village was about 5 minutes drive away with a lovely pub called The Butchers Arms which had a good selection of wonderful meals. There are lots of beautiful areas to visit and we were lucky with the weather so that made if even more enjoyable. We would definitely go back to Rookery Barn again and have recommended it to our friends.

The best "cottage" we've stayed in: superb conversion, lovely rural location, lots of space and beautifully furnished and equipped.

We have now stayed at The Rookery Barn twice: such a comfortable, spacious and cosy house in a beautiful part of the world.
