A lovely cottage with everything that you could need for a short stay. The hot tub and sauna is a perfect way to unwind after a day exploring the local area. It could do with a little TLC to freshen up the summerhouse but you soon forget this when sat in the hot tub. The cottage is a little worn here and there, but it is perfect for what we needed. Would definitely look at this cottage should we go back to this area in the future

An ok cottage but rather tired in places. Hot tub and sauna were a welcome treat at the end of the day although the shed they were inside needs a bit of attention.

This is a beautiful cottage in a stunning location and is a perfect based for exploring the snowdonia area. The owner has thought of everything you may need for a very relaxing break. I have only given this an 8/10 as I feel there are a couple of things that could be improved. Some of the decoration and furnishings are in my opinion a little bit dated and could do with replacing. The back garden and parking area could do with cutting back and the decking area and hot tub area would benefit from repainting/staining. Other than that it is a very nice cottage and I would recommend it.

The cottage was very clean & furnished well. The hot tub & sauna was a great extra. Wifi & Sky packet was great to have with a teenager attached to our holiday. The location you needed to drive everywhere to, the village had nothing much to do in it, dining out & shops were not many or nice, but a good location for Snowonia activities

Lovely clean cottage with comfy bedroom, good bathroom, well equipped kitchen and lovely lounge. Wi-fi is welcome as is the full sky package. After a hard day walking and climbing you can sink into the hot tub or have a sauna. Ffestiniog is a nice town with very friendly local population. I can't fault the place, looking forward to returning soon.

Excellent area for walking but would not stay again due to the main road directly outside, the lack of a secure garden due to wall in garden being so low. Kitchen was well equipped but had the fan oven which too ages to heat up. Loved the fact that there was a full sky package but the hot tub in the car park area was strange and the roof leaked when it rained. Would stay in the area again but not this cottage.

On arrival we were extremely disappointed with the lack of cleanliness. We had to clean the fridge, the toilet, the kitchen surface and all glassware, utensils, cutlery and crockery that we needed to use. The pillows in both bedrooms were smelly and on inspecting the pillows themselves (under the clean pillow cases) they were stained with yellow sweat marks. The towels provided were completely inadequate as they were too small and smelt musty. The shower was also very very cold and this had been noted by other guests in the guest book so small towels just did not cut it as you needed to keep warm when trying to get dry! The location is on a very very busy main road- you couldn't sleep with a window open as both bedrooms are to the front of the property - this was due to traffic noise. The area also left a lot to be desired - although a small drive out and you were in beautiful countryside - you need a car though to experience this! Only positives were wifi, sky tv, and the log fire - although the remote control was sticky, the tv stand covered in a thick layer of dust as was the dining area window ledge. Despite other guest reviews the garden was enclosed and did keep our dog in so this was not an issue for us - although the distance to the summer house with hot tub and sauna is very misleading on the pictures. We only used it once due to the distance we had to walk in dressing gowns as swimwear across gravel and dirt. Another guest also commented in the guest book in the cottage that the summer house is situated between two rusty old sheds and I'm afraid it is- although I suppose you don't really notice once you are in there. A nice addition if you like that sort of thing - although for us, we would happily do without the hot tub/sauna and have a warm shower and a clean cottage. It is disappointing to see many guests over several months have mentioned the same things as us (in the guest book in the cottage) but the owner has done very little to improve things as we have experienced the same issues they have raised. The little things count - we just believe that between the hours of 10am and 4pm on a changeover day a lot more cleaning could be done and you certainly don't expect to pay a premium rental rate to find a soiled toilet seat and dusty cistern on arrival! :(

The cottage was lovely, it was in a gorgeous part of wales and a short trip from portmeirion which is why we went to wales. The hot tub was a nice place to relax after exploring the area. We would love to come back again.
