Cottages Reviews

Our family spent Christmas 2016 at Twr Mynach. There were 8 of us with an age range of 15 to 86 coming together from various parts of the UK. It was the first time we had hired a cottage for Christmas and we will definitely do it again. Our stay there was magical. The bedrooms were large and well appointed and the communal rooms and kitchen allowed plenty of space for everyone. The house is well situated near to local amenities and there is also easy access to some great walks in the hills or down on the beach.
The two standout things for me were the tower that provided fabulous views and the owner who made us feel so welcome.

Twr Mynach is a lovely house, plenty of room for 12 of us. Car was only used once. Would loved to have gone back but unfortunately the house is up for sale.

Plenty of space for a family group within the property. Amazing views.
Plenty of parking space.
Turret room with bunks has stone spiral stairway so best for brave children!
Very well equipped kitchen.
No lawn, so safe garden space limited.

This was the perfect holiday house for us and our grown up family and our young grandchildren. Easily within walking distance of the beach, easily within walking distance of Barmouth (or Abermaw as Mr Gruffudd-Jones would certainly prefer me to call it) and very handily placed for the road north to Harlech, Porthmadog and Beddgelert where the ice-cream shop is!

What a wonderful place to stay, a majestic house in the perfect location. The property is very large and accommodated all 11 guests perfectly with plenty of space. All of the facilities are excellent with all of the mod-cons, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer for those typically wet days! Parking was excellent with room for 5 cars. Only a 5-10 minute walk back down to Barmouth but you are just far enough away from the town for tranquility. The only negative is that the house is very large and must make cleaning very difficult, most areas were clean but a little more attention to detail is required.
Finally, the host is wonderful and very friendly, a true gentleman. We would definitely stay here again.
