Powerboat P1 Superstock Series Cardiff 2016   28/08/2016 - 29/08/2016
Event Times*: Please Contact Venue. Details Below

After the success of last year’s event, where thousands of supporters turned up to watch our powerboat and jetski racers duke it out, P1 returns to Cardiff.| Just a mile from the vibrant city centre, the old docklands have been re-developed to create Cardiff Bay, which boasts a variety of bar, restaurants and attractions to take advantage of whilst watching the P1 Panthers and AquaXers battle it out for precious points.| When all the excitement on the water has finished, there are still plenty of stunning attractions for visitors to take advantage of. Cardiff is the best location for a mixture of arts, entertainment and shopping. Our top tip is to visit Cardiff Castle, positioned at the heart of capital, with a history that stretches over 2000 years.| Cardiff really does have something for everybody, so come and join us for an experience to remember!| Check out the Race Diary tab above for the full schedule of racing across the weekend.

Cardiff Bay Waterfront(Image: Cardiff Bay Waterfront)Cardiff Bay Waterfront Cardiff, City of Cardiff
The harbour at Cardiff Bay is situated on the Severn Estuary in South Wales, UK. This location with one of the greatest tidal ranges in the world (up to 14m) meant that at low tide it was inaccessible for up to 14 hours a day. The new Cardiff Bay Barrage completed in 1999 enabled the creation of a a vast freshwater lake (500 acres) and the development of what is now known as Cardiff Waterfront. Cardiff Bay is now home to a number of attractions and Welsh Assembly Government buildings, including the Norwegian Church Arts Centre, the Pierhead Building, Techniquest Centre, the Senedd or Welsh Assembly Building, Butetown History and Arts Centre, the 2000 Lightship, the iconic Wales Millennium Centre, al-fresco cafes, restaurants, and public works of art, giving a cosmopolitan feel to the City ....well it does when the sun shines! Boat trips and water taxi services operate from Mermaid Quay sailing to the city centre, Cardiff Castle, Millenium Stadium and Penarth, giving an in-site to this popular european city.
