Llangorwen, also known as Clarach, is a village located in the Clarach valley in the county of Ceredigion, Mid-Wales. The village is close to the beach at Clarach Bay and stands between Aberystwyth to the south west and Bow Street to the north east.
There are a number of walking trails and rights of way both within the Clarach Valley and the surrounding landscape, and it is just a short walk, a mile or so, to the renowned All Wales Coastal Path as it wends its way along the edge of Cardigan Bay.
The parish church is dedicated to All Saints and sits on the banks of the Clarach River. It is a Victorian edifice with a tall slender west tower, and is noted for some fine stained glass windows.
