The village of Deiniolen can be found 3km north of Llanberis, on the border of the Snowdonia National Park, in the county of Gwynedd, North Wales. It has easy access for anyone who wishes to visit Mount Snowdon, with the summit being just 10km south east of Deiniolen. Other attractions in the area include Lake Padarn 2.3km south of the village, the Llanberis Lake Railway running along its banks, the ruins of Dolbadarn Castle 3.5km south, a cascading waterfall just outside Llanberis. There are a network of walks in the Deiniolen area including a walk to the Marchlyn Mawr Reservoir on the northern slopes of Elidir Fawr (923m).
