Capel Bangor is a village situated about five miles east of Aberystwyth on the A44 in the county of Ceredigion, Wales.
The village sits on the banks of the Afon Rheidol and the Vale of Rheidol Railway stops at the Capel Bangor Railway Station, although this is seasonal.
There are two public houses, the Tynllidiart Arms, which also serves food, and the Maes Bangor Arms. The garden of the Tynllidiart Arms is home to the smallest commercial brewery in the world!
Walkers will appreciate the myriad of walking trails and rights of way criss-crossing the Vale of Rheidol, and golf enthusiasts will appreciate the Capel Bangor Golf Club - a hidden gem set in 40 acres of superbly landscaped panoramic parkland overlooking the beautiful Rheidol Valley.
The parish church, dedicated to St David, a Church in Wales establishment, was opened in 1837.
The annual Capel Bangor and District Agricultural and Horticultural Show is held on the first Saturday of August.
