Aberdaron Bay lies between the headlands of Pen y Cil and Trwyn y Penrhyn on the south west tip of the Lleyn (Llyn) Peninsula in North West Wales. Aberdaron Bay is bordered to the north by a mile long sandy beach and to the east of the bay are the two small islands of Ynys Gwlan-fawr and Ynys Gwlan-bach.
There are fine views of Aberdaron Bay from the 'Edge of Wales' Walk, a walk from Aberdaron to the Pen y cil headland, passing Porth Simdde, Porth Meudwy, Porth Cloch, Porth y Pistyll, and Hen Borth.
