The Lakes and Reservoirs of Wales are enjoyed by many thousands of people
each year. You may wish to fish or desire to hire a boat on
a Welsh lake. Mountain biking or simply hiking around a deep black lake. Many
lakes in Wales are on the high wind-swept moorlands others are in peaceful
valleys or cwms. One lake in the Snowdonia National Park tolerates motor boats
and jet skis, allthough it causes cut throat arguments and emnities among
the local folks. Windsurfing has been popular for many years with both the
experienced and those who are learning. Indeed I tried it out myself but couldn't
get the hang of the turning!
We will be adding links to the lakes from Lyyn Alaw in Anglesey, Tal-y-Llyn
near Aberdyfi, Lake Gerionedd near Llanrwst,
Brenig near Denbigh, through to Llys
y Fran in Pembrokeshire, with Lake Vyrnwy and Llyn Brianne in Mid Wales
and the Usk and Talybont Reservoirs in South wales.
