Gwbert is a cliff top hamlet located at the mouth of the Teifi estuary in the county of Ceredigion, South Wales. The Ceredigion section of the Wales Coastal Path passes through Gwbert en-route from the seaside resort of Aberporth to the town of Cardigan.|
Gwbert-on-Sea, as it is also known, is a popular holiday venue, being within easy reach of the Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire coastlines, both rich in scenery and wildlife.
There are many walks in the locality utilising both the Wales Coastal Path, with its splendid cliff top scenic views, and local circular walks through the countryside.|
You have fine views of Cardigan Bay and the Teifi estuary from the village and indeed the coastguard has a look out station on the cliff top. Access to the beach and a neighbouring small bay is via a number of steps cut into the rock face close to Craig-y-Gwbert.
