Aberaeron is a small town on the west coast of Wales. Originally a fishing village Aberaeron developed into a fine harbour town with both an inner and outer harbour. Seafaring and shipbuilding developed hand in hand in Aberaeron well into the 20th Century. And in the 21st Century with it's picturesque harbour setting and fine georgian houses Aberaeron has reinvented itself once again as a popular holiday resort with the working boats being replaced by pleasure boats and the shipbuilders and seafarers being replaced by restaurant proprietors and strolling visitors.

There are a number of restaurants to be found close to the picturesque harbour including the Hive on the Harbour and the Harbour Restaurant. While driving along the busy B496 coast road one can't help but notice the colourful Georgian terraced houses of Aberaeron, such a pleasant change from some of the drab grey roofed and pebble dashed houses to be found in some parts of Wales. So stop a while in this bustling little town, it's well a worth a visit.
