The Senhouse Roman Museum in Maryport houses the Netherhall collection of Roman artefacts in a Grade II Listed Naval Reserve Battery. This unique collection is thought to be the oldest collection of antiquities surviving in Britain, having been started by the Senhouse family in 1570. It includes Roman sculpture and inscription of international importance, many of which came from the Roman fort next to the Battery. Newly built observation tower to view the fort and coast.
