Swansea Watersports offer a wide range of sailing courses for both adults and youth sailors. | RYA Start sailing - RYA Basic Skills - RYA Day Sailing - RYA Sailing with spinnakers - RYA Seamanship skills - RYA Start racing. | RYA Start sailing course is the first step on the RYA ladder to become a competent sailor. The course is almost identical to the old RYA syllabus and doesn't require any previous experience. The course covers : • Sailing in a triangle • Basic understanding of 5 essentials • Rigging and Launching • Basic sailing • Capsize drill The course is run on both single handed and crewed sailing dinghies maximizing your experience. RYA Basic Skills course proves to be the perfect follow up to Start Sailing. This course is the next step in the RYA New Adult scheme, almost identical to the Level 2 on the old scheme.
