The club was founded in 1923 and started playing at the Penrhyn Avenue ground in Rhos-on-Sea in 1924.
The 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams play in their respective ECB Premier Divisions of the Liverpool & District Cricket Competition. Colwyn Bay Cricket Club was voted best ground in the LDC Competition for the second successive year in 2008.
