A magnificent steam winding engine, now electrically driven, an underground simulated mining gallery and a fascinating collection of mining tools and equipment are the highlights of this museum housed in the original buildings of the former Cefn Coed Colliery. The museum also has: An exhibition programme - A souvenir shop - Refreshments - Free parking - Unique Neath Gas Tram now on display - Classroom available for pre booked parties. Opening Times April to September daily 10.30am - 6.00pm; other periods daily 10.30am to 4.00pm. (Closed Christmas Day to 1st January), last admission 45 minutes before closing time. ....
