Fat Cat Cafe Bar restaurant in Bangor is proud to be the very first of all the Fat Cats. When Bangor opened in 1992, it became the bar and diner in the city, and many years on is the still the popular choice amongst shoppers and students. The basement, with its comfy sofas and booths is popular with weekend drinkers who enjoy an eclectic mix of music and a range of cocktails and shooters from the bar. In the summer months, the balcony and beer garden are ideal places to enjoy a meal, BBQ, or a few beers with fantastic views of Bangor University. The Fat Cat is located at the top end of the high street, and is within easy reach of the railway station. Parking is easy as there are two large car parks to the rear of the building. With a great choice from the all day menu, the restaurant is popular at lunchtime every day of the week with table service throughout. Enjoy generous portions from the chef’s lunchtime specials menu, available from 12pm – 3pm. Alongside the main menu the chef’s evening specials are also available from 5pm onwards. For those enjoying an evening at nearby Theatr Gwynedd, Fat Cat has a pre-theatre menu designed to afford you plenty of time, and guarantee you’ll return for desert! Fat Cat serves a range of spirits and selection of draught lagers and bottled products. The wine list is also excellent with a great choice of reds, whites and champagne to choose from.
