THE RED Lion, Trefeglwys, is a warm and friendly traditional Welsh country public house which can cater for all your needs. Its oak beams and inglenook fireplace for an open log fire to burn during the winter months ensure a warm welcome. Doreen Perry with the help of her husband Steve, officially took over the business in December 2005 and since then it has gone from strength to strength. The premises were recently refurbished and upgraded to make it more comfortable, without losing any of it's original charm. The Red Lion offer a good range of beers, currently Theakstons bitter and dark mild, John Smiths and Guinness; lagers, Fosters and our new premium lager Sagres from Portugal, a refreshing drink on a hot summer day. Cider; strongbow and bulmers also Jaques fruit cider a favourite with our ladies, single serve wines and a good selection of soft drinks. For the smokers, the new smoking area and beer garden offer a quite sheltered haven. Opening hours are between 12 noon and 2pm every day except Wednesday and from 6:30pm every evening. Food is served until 9pm. "We pride ourselves on offering a warm and friendly service and we welcome customers both old and new."
