The Junior Section, pupils aged 7-11 years, enjoys a strong reputation and has its own unique identity within the school, and yet it is a part of the whole. Concerts are varied and plentiful and a Musical Production is also performed each year. The Juniors have their own Christmas concert, Carol Service held in the Cathedral, Sports Day, Swimming Gala and Prize-Giving Day. In addition, the pupils embark on a number of educational visits both near and far each year, the Year 5 pupils visit York and Year 6 visit France. The Juniors support a number of initiatives for charity and help raise a great deal of money for various good causes. These in recent years have included the NSPCC, Joshua Foundation and Ty Hafan. It is the intention to help raise as much money as possible to help build a school in Kenya this year. All pupils have the opportunity to participate in a number of sports and pastimes and from Year 3 to represent the school in sports such as netball, hockey, football, cricket, rugby and athletics.
