The Dyfi Estuary is located on Cardigan Bay, in the west of Wales. The estuary forms part of the boundary between Gwynedd and Ceredigion. The area is designated a Special Protection Area (SPA) for the conservation of wild birds. The area comprises the estuary and adjoining saltmarsh and includes sandbanks, mudflats, peat bogs, river channels, meanders and creeks. The estuary is an established feeding ground for large numbers of Dunlin, Oystercatcher, Sanderling, Manx Shearwater and Terns.....
