Aber Falls, Rhaeadr Fawr, is a waterfall located in the beautiful valley behind the village of Aber or Abergwyngregyn in Gwynedd North Wales. Rhaeadr Fawr is formed as the river plunges about 37m from the foothills of the northern Carneddau range of mountains. Although the final mile or so to the falls is accessible only by foot they are quite accessible as the A55 expressway runs close to the village of Abergwyngregyn. The Aber valley is a National Nature Reserve with several walks leading into the nearby hills. The river below the falls, the Afon Goch, is a popular picnic spot.....More Information >>
