Aran Fawddwy (905m) is a mountain in southern Snowdonia, Gwynedd, Wales. Aran Fawddwy is located to the south of Aran Benllyn and to the north west of Dyrysgol. The source of the River Dyfi (sometimes Dovey), Creiglyn Dyfi, lies on the eastern slopes of Aran Fawddwy. The mountain is best ascended from Cywarch near Dynas Mawddwy in the south, and from Llanuwchllyn near Bala Lake in the north. Aran Fawddwy is the highest peak in the Aran mountain range and is the principal summit of the ridge between Cadair Idris near Dolgellau, in the south, and Bala in the north.
