The "Coed Moel Famau" Mountain Bike Trail is an easy/beginner trail with a total distance of 7.5 miles, 12.2Km, and an approx. ride time of 2hrs. The total height climbed is 450m. The Coed Moel Famau Loop meanders its way through the forest of Moel Famau, climbing steadily to a high point at the edge of the forest with spectacular views over the Merseyside and beyond. Then after a great descent you re-enter the forest to ride back to your start point on the lower slopes of the Clwydian Range. Start point is the main Car Park at Moel Famau. Car Park has toilet facilities. There is a fee to park here. Grid Reference : SJ173612. From Mold take the A494. Follow this road through the towns of Gwernymynydd and Loggerheads, until you come to a junction with 'Moel Famau Country Park' sign posted to the right. Follow this road for 1m, you will see the car park on your right hand side.....
