Coed Llandegla Forest covers 650 hectares and was planted in 1972/73. It has now been developed into a very special venue for mountain biking. We offer a half day of fully guided biking, with bike hire and helmets included, for groups of 4 or more people. No experience is required as full tuition can be given, but for the more experienced bikers, just get out there and enjoy the adrenalin. Family Blue Approximately 4km/2.5 miles - Awaymarked route of approximately 4 km has been developed specifically with families in mind. The route avoids major climbs and technical sections, and concentrates on allowing families to experience off-road cycling in a fun and safe way. The route allows riders to ascend gently from the car park, through the forest and on to the reservoir, with its breathtaking views of the Clwydian Range and beyond. Beginner Green Approximately 12km/7.5 miles - This route provides you with a taster of what this great sport is all about, safe in the knowledge that you won’t be coming upon any hair-raising descents or lung-bursting climbs. But that’s not to say there is nothing to test you - you’ll encounter short drops, uneven ground, switchback turns and, most importantly, stunning scenery Intermediate Red Approximately 18km/11 miles - If you’re an experienced mountain biker you must try this fantastic route. Technical singletrack is the name of the game, with great flowing sections of trail cutting through the more remote areas of the forest. This track utilises huge bermed switchbacks, whoops, tabletops and more, to test a rider’s ability and nerve. This is truly a route to bring a smile to any mountain biker’s face. But don’t be fooled into thinking it’s downhill all the way - there is a payment to be made in the form of steep climbs, giving you time to reflect upon that last descent, and what comes next! Black Run Black Approximately 2km - This new route has recently opened and is the ultimate for thrill seekers. 2000 metres of new DOWNHILL single-track black run is now open at Llandegla.....
