Glan Don Pwllheli Gwynedd Wales
Pwllheli Marina, Hafan Pwllheli, is situated in north west Wales on the south side of the beautiful Lleyn Peninsula. Its fantastic location provides access to some of the best sailing waters in the UK including Cardigan Bay, Anglesey and the attractive harbours along Ireland's east coast. The busy market town of Pwllheli has a full range of services and shops for yachtsmen along with comprehensive boatyard facilities. It is close to several major tourist attractions, historic castles, fantastic beaches and the Snowdonia National Park. Pwllheli marina has played host to a number of British, and European sailing championships, as well as catering for local organisations with races and regattas.
Cruising in the waters off the Lleyn Peninsula, which combine moderate tidal and sea conditions with a varied pattern of winds, offers the spectacular scenery of the Snowdonian mountains as a backdrop. The rugged coastline around Pwllheli Marina has been designated an 'Area of Outstanding National Beauty'.
Pwllheli Marina has over 400 pontoon berths and excellent onshore facilities. And with access at virtually all states of the tide, it provides a gateway to some of the best sailing waters in the UK. In 1997 Hafan Pwllheli was awarded the prestigious Five Gold Anchors Award by The Yacht Harbours Association (TYHA).
We were among the first six marinas in the UK to be awarded a European Blue Flag in recognition of Hafan Pwllheli's high standards of safety and water cleanliness.
