Birds Rock, or Craig yr Aderyn, 258m, is a rocky hill in the beautiful Dysynni Valley between the villages of Llanegryn and Llanfihangel-y-pennant in west Wales. The rock is renowned as being the nesting site for cormorants, although over many years the sea has receded from the base of the rock and is now to be found some 6 miles or 10km from the rock, ....but nobody has told the cormorants! Cormorants were in short supply the day we visited but the ubiquitous Welsh sheep were showing their prowess at rock climbing.....
