Llangorse lake is the largest natural lake in South Wales, measuring approximately one mile long by half a mile wide, with a circumference of some 5 miles it covers an area of 327 acres. The lake is a Sight of Special Scientific Interest and has long been regarded as a centre for wildlife.
Today the lake is used for a variety of watersports, such as fishing, sailing, water-skiing and windsurfing.
Its popularity with anglers is in no doubt however Llangorse is best fished after October when the watersports enthusiasts have mostly left for the season.
The lake is purely a coarse fishery offering bream, roach, perch, pike and some unusually large eels.....
