Llyn Crafnant nestles in a tranquil Welsh valley high in the Snowdonia National Park. The lake, which is three - quarters of a mile long and covers 63 acres. Many people regard the lake as one of the most beautiful spots in North Wales.
Crafnant takes its name from “craf”, an old Welsh word for garlic and “nant”, a stream. Even today the valley of Afon Crafnant smells of wild garlic when it flowers.
The lake is a popular fishing spot, the lake is well stocked with Rainbow Trout up to 3lb, supplementing the wild Brown Trout. It can be fished from all banks or the privacy of a boat which you can hire from the cafe.....
