St Dwynwen's Well is a freshwater spring emerging from the cliff on the north side of Llanddwyn Island below a cleft rock. It has been used as a divination well, in which women would read their prospects of happiness by the movements of a handkerchief thrown into the water. It can be reached from the northern path; (there is an information board and map on the island) go down the steep grassy slope just opposite the obtuse angle of the grazing area. Although I have to admit that I did not find the holy well myself when I looked for it on one of my many visits to the island. But Llanddwyn Island has so much to offer in other ways that I was not too disappointed! ....
