The Well is situated in the left hand corner of the church yard as you enter. It is a small rectangular pool surrounded by high stone walls and stone seats. The well was famous for its power to cure sick children. I have personaly met someone who had travelled 6000 miles from California on hearing about the healing qualities of the water from St Cylenin's Well, he was a colonel and doctor in the US Army with a sick child so he made the long journey to Wales to take back a bottle of the water in the hope of it curing his child. The footings of an ancient inn for those crossing the mountain can be found close to the churchyard gate, and nearby of an early round hut which it might be tempting to associate with St Celynin, believed to have lived in the 6th century AD.....
