This hall, now the restaurant known as Neuadd y Cyfnod, used to be the old Grammar School at Bala. Edward Meyrick a cleric born at Garthlwyd, Llandderfel bequeathed money to build the school and he also bequeathed a large sum of money to Jesus College, Oxford. The coat of arms of the college is shown on the front wall of the building. ....
