Caer Rhun Hall is a listed country house on the site of the Roman Fortress Kanovium. The present house was built for General Gough and much of the original Elizabethan pannelling and timber was incorporated into the late C19th building. The gardens are noted for fine trees, especially the cedars of Lebanon, ancient oak trees and large beeches. The wall facing south and separating the Knot garden from the kitchens is C18th as is the basic garden layout. The walk towards the golf course was designed by the head gardener at Bodnant in 1984 and replaced the overgrown bamboo walk established in 1930.....
