Fishing has been popular on the Little Orme since time immemorial and you will often find anglers casting out from the beach at Penrhyn Bay or fishing from the rocks at Angel Bay. | Angel Bay on the northeast tip of the Little Orme has a reputation for its sea life including seals and dolphins, which although an attraction to many, cannot be said to be popular with the angling community. | However the most popular and therefore probably the most successful mark for fishing is to the west of the Little Orme - Craig-y-don beach – at the eastern end of Llandudno Bay. | I am no expert on fishing but I get the impression the most common catches are whiting, flat fish, dog fish, cod and bass, with the ubiquitous mackerel getting hooked throughout the summer season. My grandson Leon had been fishing in vain along the North Wales coast for two years before casting out at Craig-y-don beach and catching four mackerel and a bass in one session.
