Built in 1923 the Bedwas Workmen's Hall has served the needs of the local community for over eighty years. A registered charity the Bedwas Workmen's Hall Community Centre (Charity No.1006294) is currently used for a variety of local activities, including youth, music and drama clubs. The Hall offers a generous sized performance space for all types of professional and amateur productions (please see the Facilities page for further information). The Bedwas Workmen's Hall is available for hire and offers a flexible venue for a range of activities including plays, children's parties and music events. Details concerning forthcoming events at the Bedwas Workmen's Hall can be found on the What's On page of this website. | Bedwas Workman’s Hall was awarded £40,000 from the Big Lottery Fund’s Peoples Millions programme after winning a public vote. The Bedwas project to start the restoration of the historic hall was featured on ITV1 Wales and went up against a rival bid from the Cynon Valley. The project which had the most public votes won. Volunteers from the hall and school children from Bedwas High School were told they had won on live television and were presented with the cheque.
