The Ceredigion Coast Path follows the spectacular crescent shaped coastline of Cardigan Bay on the west coast of Wales. Stunning scenery, glorious beaches, hidden coves, picturesque villages and a wealth of wildlife make the Ceredigion Coast Path a perfect place for coastal walking.

The 50 miles (80 km) of coastline has many sandy beaches, beautiful estuaries, marinas, traditional seaside resorts, small fishing ports and safe harbours. There is a wide choice of small towns and seaside resorts along the coastline, from Cardigan in the south, through Gwbert, Aberporth, Llangrannog, New Quay, Aberaeron, to Aberystwyth and Borth in the north. It isn’t necessary to walk the whole route however, you can pick and mix at your choice. There are options to do a bit of town hopping, from Newquay to Aberaeron for example, and jump on the bus at Aberaeron to return to Newquay. Take a Dylan Thomas trail - visit the pubs along the route – or walk the cliff top trail while searching for dolphins in the sea below. Cardigan Bay has enjoyed more sightings of dolphins then any other part of the UK. Indeed, in recent years there have been a number of sightings of dolphin pods in Cardigan Bay several thousand strong.
