Patrick's Cave (Welsh: Ogof Badrig) is set into the cliff below the church of Llanbadrig in Cemaes, Anglesey, North Wales. Legend has it that St Patrick was shipwrecked on Patrick's Island, also known as Middle Mouse. After crossing to the mainland he found refuge in Patrick's Cave. The freshwater well within the cave, Patrick's Well, allowed Patrick to recover and he founded the church of Llanbadrig on the clifftop as thanks to God. The cave is accessible to those with a reasonable level of fitness, but not recommended for those who are unsure of foot. The well is not always visible within the cave but a small stream trickles from the rockface below the cave.
