RAC Boulders, Bouldering Capel Curig, Gwynedd - Wales where to go, what to see and where to stay in Wales

The RAC boulders are in a great spot to enjoy the atmospheric surroundings of snowdonia (although sometimes within earshot of the road). With a load of low grade problems it's a venue which is often used to introduce the sport to beginners. Saying this there are some lowgrade highball problems which do require a Bouldering Crash Pad or a spotter to soften the fall if need be. The location of the RAC boulders is about mid way between Capel Currig and the Pen y Gwryd Hotel, parking is on the righthand side if your heading towards Snowdon in a lay-by. The 3 main boulders can be seen from the lay-by up the hill to your right. Please be aware that these boulderrs are on private land and the bouldering here is tolorated, to ensure this continues, please make sure the access gate is accessible and shut properly and no litter is left behind.
