This well established business has operated out of Tenby for over 20 years. MV Summertime is licensed to carry 12 passengers and is fully equipped and certified to strict local council and Maritime Coastguard Agency Standards. Weather permitting, there are daily sailings including weekends, with the first trip at 10.00 am and every 90 minutes thereafter, with the last trip departing at 4.00 pm. Our trip is a family orientated activity and ideal for :- ladies, beginners, children and elderly persons. Once everyone is on board, the boat leaves the harbour / ramp and will travel to the sheltered waters between Tenby and Caldey Island. this takes a maximum of 20 minutes ( about 1.5 miles ) On reaching the fishing ground, the engine is stopped and the boat drifts quietly while the skipper gives brief instructions on how we use the rod and reel supplied, often catching fish as we do so ( within 20 secs !). There is no dangerous casting of lines, all lines are lowered into the water to the required depth and then the rod is "jigged" up and down until the unmistakable "bite" is felt. During all fishing activity the skipper is always on hand to help you with your catch. Once we're finished fishing, you are provided with string and shown how to string your fish up which is undertaken while the boat returns to the harbour - another great photo opportunity !....
