Close to the beach is an inlet known as the Blue Lagoon. The slate background gives a brilliant deep blue colour to the water in the Lagoon. The beach is popular for boating, surfing and canoeing but care should be taken as heavy surf can develop quite quickly. Abereiddy Beach is a fine starting point for a coastal walk with magnificent cliff scenery and grear sunsets. Facilities: Dogs allowed. Toilets are available. A mobile kiosk visits the car park. Car parking free next to the beach. Be aware: Westerly facing, swells and waves can develop unexpectedly, with dangerous undercurrents and undertows.
