Cefn Sidan Beach in Wales

Cefn Sidan beach has been described as one of Europes best beaches. The beach, is a seven mile sandy beach backed by sand-dunes and is half a mile to the sea at it's narrowest when the tide is out. Cefn Sidan (the winner of the coveted Blue Flag award) is within the Pembrey Country Park and is perfect for kite-buggying or kite-mountainboarding. Even on a bank holiday, if you are willing to walk, you can easily find a more remote area for yourself to relax. Cefn Sidan is also safe for bathing but is recommended in the flagged lifeguard patrolled area only. Lifeguards operate from 1st June to September 30th.Within the Pembrey Country Park there are nature trails, forest walks, and cycle tracks and facilities for the disabled are excellent. There is also a café/restaurant, a first aid post, a lost child centre and a shop selling beach goods.....
