Newborough Beach stretches from Abermenai Point on the Menai Strait in the south to Llanddwyn Island in the north.

The miles of golden sand leave plenty of space if you want to be alone,
and the backdrop of huge sand dunes are an added attraction for the
children. There are fantastic views of the hills of Snowdonia
and particularly the "rivals" on the Lleyn Peninsula. Many just come to
enjoy the sands and the clear blue waters, while others might take a
walk along the sands to the even more beautiful beaches in the coves of
Llanddwyn Island. Some head south to Abermenai Point or north past the
island to Malltraeth beach - and take all their clothes off - as the
dunes to the north and south of Newborough are popular with nudists,
although this is frowned upon by the rangers who patrol the beaches.|In 2012 there have been calls to make sections of Malltraeth or Newborough beaches official Nudist or Naturist beaches but as yet no decision has been made.
